Statement of Faith
THE BIBLE- We believe the Holy Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God (2 Tim 3:16) We believe all scripture to be inerrant in its original text and therefore we regard the Bible the final authority for our faith and conduct.
GOD- We believe in One God, existing as three persons in one. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. (The Trinity) (Matt 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; Gen 1:1; John 1:1-3; Rev 4:9)
JESUS- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. The second person of the Trinity. (John 1:1-2, 14; Matt 3:16-17) We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. (Matt 1:18-25) therefore He is both true God and true Man. (2 Cor 5:21) this made Him and Him only able to be the sacrifice for all sins. We believe that Jesus then died as our Substitution, bearing all sin as He died on the cross. (Is 53) we believe Jesus was bodily resurrected from the dead. (Acts 2:33) From His position in Heaven we believe Jesus is now our advocate, Intercessor and High Priest. (Heb 4:14-16) we also believe Jesus is the Head of the Church on earth. (Col 1:18)
HOLY SPIRIT- We
believe the Holy Spirit is
the third Person of the Trinity.(Luke 3:22; Matt
3:16-17) we
believe His purpose
is to draw men to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Revealing Him as Lord and
Savior. (John 15:26; 16:13-14) we
believe the Holy Spirit
convicts people of their sin and points them to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness (John 16:8-9)
SECOND COMING- We believe Jesus will bodily return to earth just as He departed from it. (Acts 1:10-11) we believe His return is imminent (James 5:7-8; 1 Pet 4-7; Matt 24:32-33). We believe this return of Jesus will be pre-millennial (Rev 19:11; 20:6) And we do believe that Christ will reign on earth for one thousand years. The Millennium
THE CHURCH- We believe that the church on earth is the Body of Christ. (Col 1:24) we believe this body is made up by all Born-again believers, regardless of their local church or denominational affiliation. However we believe that only those who are saved Christians are members of the True Church, the Body of Christ. Is sanctified and cleansed by Christ Himself. (Eph 5:22-27) Therefore we believe that the local church should govern itself with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (1 Tim 3:1-13) We find no scriptural evidence of any church government above that of the local body of believers. There we answer only to the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph 1:22-23; Col 1:18)
MAN- We believe man was created by God in His image. (Gen 1:27) Though man was blameless, we believe man willfully sinned against God. Incurring physical and spiritual death. (Gen 3: 24; Rom 6:23) Adam’s sinful nature, we believe is inherited by all humans. (Rom 5:12; Psalms 5:15)
SALVATION- We believe all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. (John 3:3; 1 Pet 1:23) When this happens we believe hose people receive a new nature. (2 Cor 5:17) This salvation is not earned but is a gift by the grace of God. (Eph 2:8-9)
ORDINANCES- We believe that Water Baptism and Communion or the Lord’s Supper are ordinances of the Church and should be practiced by all believers. We believe Water baptism was sanctioned by Christ when He submitted to it. (Matt 3:11-17) and appointed Communion as an ordinance for the Church. (1 Cor 11:23-26) therefore we believe all believers should partake in both Water Baptism and Communion.
RESURRECTION & JUDGEMENT- We believe all people will be bodily resurrected from the dead & will be judged by Jesus. the saved will be found justified and enter Heaven forever where they will be eternally happy. The unsaved will be judged by their works will be sent into everlasting torment and punishment. (1 Cor 15:20-26; John 5:28-29; Rev 20:11-15)
